StoreNext to Offer Hypercom Optimum Multi-Lane Payment Terminals

Independent Grocers Now Have a One-Stop-Shop for Complete EFT Solutions

PLANO, Texas – July 25, 2006 – StoreNext Retail Technologies LLC will market Hypercom Corporation’s (NYSE: HYC) Optimum payment terminals to independent grocers and regional chains via StoreNext’s nationwide dealer network.  The agreement, completed this week, provides merchants with end-to-end payments systems for ISS45 and ScanMaster POS platforms integrated with the WinEPS payments engine from MTXEPS.

StoreNext will offer Hypercom’s multi-lane Optimum L4100 and L4200 payment terminals, including the new Optimum L4250 low-cost, multi-function payment device with signature capture.  Near-field communications options for card-less and contact-less shopper devices are also supported.  The Hypercom terminals anchor the WinEPS payments software feature set together with StoreNext’s ScanMaster and ISS45 POS platforms.  The integrated solution provides grocers with signature capture, debit conversion, electronic check conversion, Pay By Touch biometric payments and Blackhawk gift card support.

“The expense of processing electronic payments transactions is a top-of-mind issue for grocery operators,” said Ray Carlin, StoreNext president and CEO. “Hypercom’s outstanding products give merchants the features they need to cut those costs.  Combined with StoreNext’s array of electronic payments and POS software, today’s shoppers get the speed, security and payment options they’re demanding while enabling sizeable improvements in the grocer’s bottom line.”
